Pyxis, 5th century, ivory with the base restored in wood, 11.3 cm in diameter, Alexandria, Egypt © Trustees of the British Museum Aksum was the name of a kingdom that could now be considered northern Ethiopia the civilization was made up of multiple religions. The most popular one would be Christianity which was thriving during the 4th century. Judaism was another popular one that was started by a group of black Jews. Keshi

Image
This picture in a way is a very graphic photo from the 5th century, this photo reminds me of hurccles. The man in the photo is Krishna who  battles the demon keshi. Keshi the demon has been holding krishnas people captive. The demon doesn't look like how we see a demon but instead he is said to be a horse. Krishna uses one foot to hold him in place while he shoves his arm down the demon's throat. Underneath the  fighters looks to be another dead fighter, possibly a demon. The battle between keshi and krishnas also appears in the tenth Book of the Bhagavata Purana. Keshi knew he was bound to be killed by  Krishna so he sent other de mons to try and kill him first.
